How can I test Cinema HD and 24 LED displays?

Hi,

I have two apple displays that I am trying to test to see if they work but I don't have a PC to hook them up to. I plug them into the wall outlet but nothing happens. Do I have to have them plugged up to a mac/pc to get anything to happen? thx in advance!
